Our first modular build carried out at this school was such a success we have gone on to build a further two more phases.

The school wanted to replace old and tired Victorian school buildings with a more modern, green and efficient alternative but not at the expense of the children’s education. As such they wanted to find a product, which was constructed in its majority off site.

Chapelgreen procured and structurally adapted a number of traditional shipping containers to provide 3 complete new classrooms to a high specification all within the summer half term. This reduced the onsite time from 20 weeks to only 6, which saved time, money and increased risks associated with construction within a live school environment.

A year later we returned and added a second floor that doubled the space and once again all works were completed within the 6-week school half term. This would have taken over 20 weeks in a traditional approach and would have meant the classrooms below being taken out of use for a considerable period.

More recently we have completed the 3rd phase, which added toilets, more teaching space and specialist teaching areas along with extensive external works.

The end product speaks for itself and we are confident that the quality, speed and cost of the units would address many of the issues currently facing the educational sector.
