The works at Trafalgar house consisted of two definitive phases. The first involved the repairs and refurbishment of the existing apartments, which included the adaptation of the units to cater specifically for the intended service users. Replacement kitchens, bathrooms and floor finishes were required and so was the removal and replacement of new UPVC windows. Mechanical and electrical systems were updated and provision made for the new residents.

The second phase of works were undertaken upon completion of the apartments. This phase was focused on the existing food store located on the ground floor of the residential block.

The unit was taken back to the original shell and a complete refit was undertaken to create a kitchen area which could be utilised to train service users and also to provide a café area where meals could be sold on a commercial basis. Complete overhaul of M&E systems was required along with traditional shop fitting finishes such as suspended ceilings; lightweight glazed partitioning systems and full catering specification kitchen.

The completed project created a warm and inviting facility for service users throughout the local area.
