The introduction of the Disability Discrimination Act in 1995 resulted in many properties being required by law to implement adaptations, enabling ease of access by disabled users. Modern construction will factor this work into new-build designs but for older buildings, significant work can often be necessary, whilst still ensuring that the character and integrity of the property is not compromised.

Experienced specialists

DDA adaptations, both commercial and domestic, were some of the first projects Chapelgreen took on; as a result, we are highly knowledgeable, working only with the best industry specialists to advise clients, pre-empt issues and advise openly on cost.

We approach our DDA work with great personal care, getting to know families and always remaining sensitive to their needs as we carry out work in their own home. Jobs are managed on-site by our highly skilled project managers, who are able to observe families’ needs in their own time, resulting in a truly bespoke service.
